Daniel Pink, author of “A Whole New Mind, Why Right-Brainers Will Rule The Future,” says that story, meaning, playfulness and empathy are going to play huge roles in the Conceptual Age, which we are moving into quickly. These are four of the “senses,” as he calls them, that are essential to succeeding when automation, outsourcing to Asia and abundance are the new norms.
Interestingly enough, these are the same qualities we must embrace to make a connection with our audiences. We need to get up close and personal, express our authentic selves, and be willing to be vulnerable.
